The Russian victory in the women’s class was amazing. Already on the first leg Alena Trapeznikova ran from the other competitors. Tatyana Kozlova on second leg  also had a good day.

“I had a lead of about one minute and felt comfortable with that”, smiles Polina Malchikova, Russia’s last leg skier.

Norway took silver and Finland got bronze.

For Norway it was the first time since 1994 with a medal in both classes.

With the relay ended the 19th World Ski Orienteering Championships in Tänndalen in Sweden.
