We are very pleased to announce that the World Masters Ski Orienteering Championships will be the part of the Winter World Master Games for the first time in Innsbruck 2020. The best Ski Orienteering Master athletes will compete for the World Champion title at three disciplines: Sprint, Middle and Long.

The competitions will take place in Seefeld, host of the 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Located in the heart of the Alps at an altitude of 1,200 meters, the fantastic crosscountry trail network will be part of brand new Ski Orienteering maps.

Tyrol will welcome athletes from all over the world to participate at the 3rd Winter World Masters Games (WWMG 2020) in Innsbruck.

The WWMG are the world’s biggest winter sports festival for 30+ year olds. From 10th to 19th January 2020, more than 3,000 athletes will gather in the provincial capital of Tyrol. Participants will compete over ten days, in twelve sports.

The International Masters Games Association (IMGA), the representative body of sport masters worldwide, promotes competition, friendship and understanding between mature sportspeople, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sport status.

From competitive athletes to passionate amateurs, everyone is welcome to take part in the WWMG 2020. Age is the only criteria for participation. A spectacular alpine setting, cultural highlights, a genuinely warm welcome and state-of-the-art venues are the ingredients for this unique winter sports festival.

The Organising Committee of Innsbruck-Tirol sports GmbH is already hard at work planning and preparing this unique event. In addition to the sports programme many social activities and cultural experiences await athletes and their companions.

Further details on the sports programme, venues and cultural activities can be found at www.innsbruck2020.com or on social media at www.facebook.com/innsbruck2020

Now it’s our time to show that our Masters are very active and professional.

Welcome to Austria!
