-This here has become our home town and we are feeling a bit nervous, the two athletes from Chinese Taipei smile.

They studied together, and got in contact with orienteering during the studies. One of their teachers was an enthusiastic orienteer and taught them how to find their way.

Now they are both teachers in primary school and, of course, also teach orienteering. It looks good for the sport in Chinese Taipei: the number of athletes is growing.

The two women are very enthusiastic and have developed fast during the past three years. They have gone from being beginners to taking part in The World Games.
– We want to be able to run really fast and perform well, they say.

On Wednesday Chieh Chen and Wan-Jyuan Sie got to know the model terrain in Central Park in Kaohsiung. Tomorrow they will start in the sprint race.
