World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships 2012 have been awarded to Hungary. The championships will take place in Veszprem,Western Hungary, in dolomite karst terrain. The local organiser has experience of organising both World Ranking and World Cup events. Junior World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships 2012 will be held in conjunction with the senior championships.

World Cup in 2010

At its recent meeting in Lausanne, the IOF Council also confirmed the Mountain Bike Orienteering World Cup programme for 2010. Earlier this year, the decision was taken to organise both MTB Orienteering World Cup and World Masters Championships from 2010 on. In 2010, the World Cup rounds will be held in Hungary, Poland (in conjunction with the World Masters Championships), Portugal (World Championships) and Italy. The final round in Italy is a Pre-WOC round, as the World Championships and the Junior World Championships will take place in Italy in 2011.
