Impressive win – based on experience

Vladislav Kiselev had a gap of 45 seconds to the second best in the men’s junior class. He knows the feeling of winning from earlier. The 17-year-old is from Perm in Ural, and has already had great experience in ski orienteering.

“I tried it for the first time when I was six years old. My father took me into the sport”, he says. He has a lot of experience and an incredible knowledge. He could also have taken part in the European Youth Championships and has two years left as a junior. On February 27th he will be 18 years old.

Also in summer time he has achieved a lot of really good results. Last summer he became World Champion for juniors in mountain bike orienteering. It was in the Relay. “I feel that this here gold weighs a bit more since I had to get it all on my own this time”.

He made two small mistakes during the course and found it challenging. “There were different route choices between the controls and that is something I like”, he says.
