Oceania Championships took place in the beginning of October in Victoria and New South Wales in Australia. In 2009 New Zealand dominated the regional championships, but this time it was Australia that was strongest. Only Lizzie Ingham was able to win gold for New Zealand (women’s middle distance); the rest of the gold medals went to Australia.
