The Global Orienteering Volunteer Project was initiated in Autumn 2017 by the IOF Regional and Youth Development Commission. The principle aim is to bring orienteers who would like to share their expertise together with countries, clubs and orienteering communities which are in need of a helping hand.

Keenly fought Middle Distance races today ended with wins for Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and Andrey Lamov, Russia.

39 seconds was the winning margin at the end of an intense Sprint Relay, victory going to the quality Swedish team of Tove Alexandersson and Erik Rost. The silver medals went to Finland and the bronze to Russia.

Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and the Russian Eduard Khrennikov won today’s Sprint with winning margins of 34 and 45 seconds respectively. Both had fastest times throughout.
