WUSOC2018 Middle: win for Ulvensøen and Gorlanov

Anna Ulvensøen, Norway and Sergey Gorlanov, Russia won the Middle distance at the 2nd FISU World University Ski Orienteering Championships in Haanja, Estonia.

It was the last race of this championships. The 3rd FISU World University Ski Orienteering Championships will be held in Rovaniemi, Finland in 2020.

Anna Ulvensøen won the 4th consecutive race and her 4th gold medal at this championships. In the mass-start race Ulvensøen finished ahead of  the Estonian Daisy Kudre and the Russian Maria Petrushko, with a 50 seconds and 2 minutes 21 seconds margin respectively.

In the men’s class Sergei Gorlanov won his 2nd gold, finished 1 minute 24 seconds in front of the Russian Vladislav Kiselev, and 1 minute 32 seconds ahead of Sixten Olof Vilhelm Walheim, Sweden.
