Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and Daniel Hubmann, Switzerland, already crowned overall winners of the 2014 World Cup, both took victory in the final Sprint in Liestal, Switzerland.

In the women’s race, second-placed Maja Alm was the fastest of three Danes in the top six, finishing 6 seconds slower than Tove Alexandersson. Home runner Judith Wyder was third, 10 seconds down on Tove’s time.

In the men’s race it was Yannick Michiels, Belgium who was in the limelight for quite a long period before first Jerker Lysell, then Matthias Kyburz and finally Daniel Hubmann took the lead. Hubmann won by 3 seconds over Kyburz, with Lysell third, 16 seconds down. Switzerland as usual impressed in depth, with Fabian Hertner taking fourth place.
