World Cup: Sweden ruled the women’s race

Women’s sprint final was held after the men’s race in bright sunshine in the old town of Porvoo. Linnea Gustafsson, Sweden, who has silver from World Championships sprint in 2009, won the race with a big margin, 8 seconds, before her team mate Lena Eliasson, who in her turn was 2 seconds faster than Annika Billstam, also Sweden.

Qualification winner Anni-Maija Fincke, Finland finished ninth. The Tour continues next week Tuesday in Gothenburg, Sweden, and final round is held on Saturday 25 June in Oslo, Norway.
