World Cup quotas for 2009

Posted on | March 10, 2009 | Category: News

The number of athletes that each nation can enter in the World Cup events in 2009 is based on the World Ranking List Federation League table as at 31 December 2008.

As last year, the six best nations – separately for men and women – may enter eight athletes in the World Cup events (with the exception of the World Championships). All other full members may enter six athletes. The reigning World Champions of 2008 have personal free places provided they are selected by their federations. These free places are additional to the national quota. Finally, in World Cup events outside the WOC, the organising nation has the right to enter an additional four athletes of each gender (four men and four women).
