Russian victories in Ski Orienteering World Cup final

Ski Orienteering World Cup 2013-2014 ended today with ultra long distance mass start event in Tyumen, Russia. With 15 cm of new snow the conditions were hard, and the the long distance very long. Home athletes showed their strength today by taking the two first positions in both classes. In women’s class, Anastasia Kravchenko won before Tatiana Rvacheva, who with her second place secured the World Cup overall victory.

In the men’s class, ski orienteering legend Eduard Khrennikov showed that he still has a lot to offer, and won by 27 seconds before Andrei Lamov, the overall World Cup winner.
