MTBO World Cup: Emily Benham & Anton Foliforov in lead

Last year’s World Cup winners overall, Emily Benham, Great Britain and Anton Foliforov, Russia, are the two current leaders in the 2015 standings ahead of the World Championships in August, the final round.

Anton Foliforov’s lead is by the narrowest of margins over Jussi Laurila, Finland; they have the same points score, but Foliforov has won 2 events against Laurila’s one. On the other hand Emily Benham has a comfortable lead of 48 points over nearest rival Gaelle Barlet, France.

The French team is showing its developing strength in having five riders holding top-six placings in the standings; Finland has three.
