World Cup in Mountain Bike Orienteering begins with Sprint on Friday 16 May in North Zealand, Denmark. On Saturday, long distance with mass start takes place, and on Sunday mixed relay.
Riders from 18 countries, amongst them World Ranking leaders Marika Hara (FIN) and Tonis Erm (EST), will arrive in Denmark today for model event and opening ceremony before the competitions start.
Sprint distance on Friday will take place in Forskerparken, Hørsholm. The terrain is an urban area with generally paved tracks; a mix between streets, park terrain and forest. 20 men and 15 women will be wearing gps tracking units, and their routes can be followed live on the event website: http://okoest.dk/wc2014/
