The ISOM revision is slowly progressing. Based on the first draft, input from federations and test prints, a final draft of the symbol part was created after the WOC 2015 meeting.
The final draft was circulated to federations 3rd December 2015 with a deadline for comments 17th January 2016 (in order to get input before the January IOF joint meeting). As of the end of January 2016, input has been received from 12 federations. The input received before the January meeting was discussed during that meeting. Some federations were not able to meet the deadline, but input from federations is still welcomed. Based on the input received some adjustments will probably be made after doing more test prints during the first half of 2016.
Issues still to be resolved are:
* Impassable / forbidden to pass (ISSOM alignment, fairness, enforcability). This will be discussed with the discipline commission and the rules commission.
* The green screens 406-410: Setting screen densities that ensure correspondence between the amount of green in the symbols and their effect on runnability while maintaining readability.
There is lack of progress on the colour part, so a thorough update of the colour part may have to wait in order not to delay the release of the revised ISOM any further.|| Print page ||
