The IOF Council has approved the International Specification for Orienteering Maps ISOM 2017.
– The IOF Council is very pleased that the ISOM 2017 project is finally completed, and would like to thank all members of the Map Commission who have contributed, says IOF President Leho Haldna.
The ISOM 2017 project has been a challenging project managing the various consultation rounds and feedback received from member federations and other map-interested stakeholders.
– The Council feels comfortable that the document which is now being published will be a welcome upgrade to ISOM 2000, Leho Haldna says.
For IOF events between 1 May and 31 December 2017, both ISOM 2000 and ISOM 2017 could be accepted, but which map standard is used at the event must be clearly stated in the Bulletin(s) for the event. For all events after 1 January 2018, ISOM 2017 should be used unless there are contractual limitations which would prevent this.|| Print page ||
