High class TrailO in Uppsala

The 7th and 8th stages of the unofficial European Cup in TrailO took place in Uppsala, Sweden, 23-24 September. Almost the whole European TrailO elite were in attendance, with athletes representing a total of 12 federations present.

On the Saturday, Björklinge SOK organized a PreO course with 28 controls. 5 competitors managed to get 26 of them correct. Winner was Geir Myhr Øien, Norway, ahead of 4 Swedish competitors with Stig Gerdtman andh Martin Fredholm on the podium. Best non-Nordic competitor was Remo Madella, Italy, in 6th place.

On the Sunday, OK Linné was the organizer of another PreO. Once again, Geir Myhr Øien was the winner with all 24 controls correct. A fantastic weekend for Geir. Three additional competitors had all 24 controls correct, but were slower at the timed controls which caused problems for many competitors. In 2nd place was Pinja Mäkinen, Finland, followed by two Swedes, Michael Johansson and William Rex.

On Saturday, OK Linné also organized a TempO-competition. The Finnish TempO-specialist Antti Rusanen won ahead of the Swedish specialist Lennart Wahlgren. And the big winner of the weekend, Geir, finished in 3rd place.
