Guidelines for World Ranking Events updated

The Guidelines for World Ranking Events 2012 have been published. The more distinct changes to the guidelines are related to the points scoring system: the weighting factors which previously increased points gained at the highest level events (World Orienteering Championships, World Cup, The World Games) have now been removed and all ranking races now count equally. The updated guidelines can be accessed here.
Some 104 foot orienteering World Ranking Events will be held in 2012 including the World Cup and World Orienteering Championships events. Applications came in from all six IOF regions. View complete calendar through this link.
