From New Zealand to the top – in two disciplines!

Posted on | November 1, 2014 | Category: News

Our Athlete of November reached the top this year in two disciplines: foot and mountain bike orienteering. He became Junior World Champion in Sprint in foot orienteering, and on Middle distance in MTB orienteering. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the fact that he comes from New Zealand!

Joaquim Margarido has talked with him and heard about the decisive moments on the way to the gold medals. One of them was in 2012: “Matt Ogden’s victory at Junior World Orienteering Championships 2012 made me realise that reaching the top of the World can be done from New Zealand”, he says.

Meet Tim Robertson, IOF Athlete of the Month.
