Charlotte Bouchet fought hard and got a good eighth spot in the qualification in the Middle distance. She is beginning to feel at home. “Well it’s maybe not exactly the same in the way the terrain looks, but there is a lot of similarity in the navigation”, she says.
The 26-year-old French woman is taking part in her third WOC. Her best individual position so far is 20th place on the Middle distance two years ago in her home country. “I hope to be among the 20 best and if it’s going very well I hope for 10th to 15th”, she says.
On the Middle qualification it was very challenging technically with a lot of detail and often poor visibility. “The map looked a bit like they can do in France, but with perhaps not rocks like here”, she says.|| Print page ||
