Alexandersson & Kyburz lead in World Cup

After the second round of the World Cup held in Norway and Sweden, Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and Matthias Kyburz, Switzerland are the leaders in the World Cup standings.

Tove Alexandersson, overall winner last year and second to Simone Niggli in 2013, is aiming for another overall victory as she has won three of the four counting races so far. Ida Bobach, Denmark, winner of the Long distance race in Norway, holds second spot and Switzerland’s Sara Luescher is third.

In the men’s standings, last year’s winner Daniel Hubmann, Switzerland is second to his compatriot Matthias Kyburz, replicating the final top two positions in 2013. The Swedish athlete Gustav Bergman is in third place.

The next races to count for the World Cup this year are the three individual finals at the World Championships in Scotland at the beginning of August.
