Fastest in the Sprint prologue this morning were Tove Alexandersson SWE, with an impressive 35-second lead over Sonja Mörsky FIN, and Andrey Lamov RUS, who was 9 seconds faster than his compatriot Kirill Veselov. The men’s race was especially close with the first six within 15 seconds of each other.

The results form the basis for this afternoon’s chasing start over shortened Middle distance. The women’s race starts at 14.00 and the men’s at 15.00, Swedish time.
