The Norwegian home crowd had plenty to cheer today when Lars Moholdt took the Long Distance crown by 52 seconds over pre-race favourite Andrey Lamov, Russia. In the women’s race, another gold seemed on the cards for Tove Alexandersson, Sweden but she was disqualified and victory went to her team-mate Josefine Engstrom.
