The IOF Council has appointed Poland and Switzerland as organizers of Orienteering World Cup 2016 rounds 2 and 4. The overall program for World Cup 2016 was also confirmed.

12/06/2014 || Denmark wins exciting mixed sprint relay ||News||

This new race format, being introduced for the first time at the World Championships next month, was trialled in Imatra, Finland today, the second occasion of its kind this year, by many of the world’s best teams. The outcome didn’t come clear until well into the final leg, but Denmark finished clear winners ahead of two Swedish teams and then Switzerland.

11/06/2014 || World Cup wins for Wyder and Leandersson ||News||

Judith Wyder, Switzerland and Jonas Leandersson, Sweden were the winners of the final in the World Cup Sprint in Imatra, Finland today, in a race with very tight margins – 2 seconds in the women’s race and 4 seconds in the men’s. Both are current European Champions and both won their qualification races this morning.

Tove Alexandersson made it two big wins in two days; today in the Long distance race she had a lead at the finish of more than two minutes. Oleksandr Kratov, Ukraine continued his good form this season, taking the men’s race by 21 seconds.
